’75 | William “Bill” Piepgrass, M.D., traveled to Haiti as part of a team of nurses and doctors to provide life-saving care to earthquake victims in January.
’76 | David F. Boerner, M.D., is vice president, medical affairs at Wilson Medical Center in Wilson, North Carolina. In addition, he serves as the medical director for United Healthcare, Carolinas.
’76 | George Wilding, M.S., is currently the head of the Medical Oncology Section in the Department of Medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. In the UW Comprehensive Cancer Center, he serves as the associate director for clinical research and director for the Experimental Therapeutics Program.
’81 | Ricardo Azziz, M.D., a physician, scientist, and executive with more than twenty years of leadership in biomedical research, medical education, and health care was named the eighth president of the Medical College of Georgia by The Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia.
’81R | Roberta C. Locko, M.D., is the network director of radiology at the Columbia University Medical Center in New York, New York.
’92 | Daniel M. Feinberg, M.D., was appointed vice president for clinical excellence at Catholic Health East.
’02 | Matthew L. Silvis, M.D., assistant professor for family and community medicine and orthopaedics and rehabilitation at Penn State College of Medicine and medical director for primary care sports medicine at Penn State Hershey Medical Center, received the Penn State Alumni Association Alumni Achievement Award on April 9.
’03 | Deborah Rodriguez Kane, M.S., serves as the team leader for cancer research at St. Luke’s Hospital in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
In Memoriam
’99 | Craig W. Erickson died January 19.
’71 | Dan McDougal, M.D. died May 10.
