Penn State, Penn State Hershey Medical Center, and Penn State College of Medicine recently earned a prestigious $27 million, five-year, Clinical and Translational Science Award from the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The award is designed to accelerate the translation of scientific discovery into methods for improving public health. This competitive award will fuel the ongoing work of the Penn State Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI), a collaboration of nine Penn State colleges and institutes, along with community and industry partners, devoted to using their research and outreach expertise to improve the health of Pennsylvanians.
